What is up with us not making Princeton Review. On 3rd page of Shreveport Times Monday. 7 schools from LA-no Tech. Rather be a Trier 1 school in the big scheme of things, but still????

Because Louisiana Tech students have never been asked to complete the Princeton Review survey. ULL was only chosen to be surveyed years ago because their larger enrollment would produce more student survey results.

You realize that the article in The Times was written by a Lafayette Gannett newspaper reporter because ULL makes a big deal out of nothing? Princeton Review is a joke, and everybody outside of Lafayette knows it.

Princeton Review does not publish academic rankings. Just ask the trailer trash what ULL is ranked by PR, and they will be stumped. The test prep service's "best colleges" book is a college culture survey publication. It only ranks things based on student surveys like: which colleges are most LGBTQ friendly, which colleges are party schools, which college students smoke the most weed, which college students drink the most hard liquor, which college students drink the most beer, which college students are stone cold sober, which college students are most liberal, which college students are most religious, which college students are most concerned about the environment, etc.

You can't even view these college culture student survey results online because their business model is limited by student survey results they can print in a book thereby limiting how many schools they can include. There are numerous better schools than ULL that are not included in that PR book.

Tech's raw score improved by 6 points with help from improved peer assessment reputation rankings and retention.

Tech moved up 9 spots in the top public college rankings.

Tech dropped 3 spots overall due to Carnegie reclassification from former regional private colleges like Villanova being moved to the national universities category. Previously there were 280 national universities, but there are now 310 national universities. Thus, Tech's overall percentile improved because the category grew by 30 colleges. As a result of the overall percentile improvement, Tech is no longer at the bottom of Tier 1.
