Verbal committments just do not excite me anymore. It is like head coaches saying they love in Ruston.

With the early signing period in basketball, I feel like a commitment means a little more.

Yep. If football had an early signing period, I think we'd be able to hold onto more of the three-star recruits.

    I'm not sure that's fair.

MW was named head coach on March 30th. The signing period in 2011 was April 13th through May 18th.
EK was named head coach on May 18th. The signing period in 2015 was April 15th through May 20th.

EK re-recruited Derric Jean. Washington played a lot of minutes and will be much improved. The 2016 class has more potential than the 2011 class and the 2014 class (of course right now it's only on paper).

    Speedy had NO D1 offers

Ha! Referencing the star system. Classic. Don't play that game. Projecting high school talent is difficult.

Right. Everybody plays that game in football recruiting, but it doesn't count in basketball. That's why the better basketball programs rush out to sign up the 2*'s.

    Yeah, right.

Or how lucky he was in catching 3 flies with one hand -

Outside of the big 3 and Hamilton there really wasn't much consistent high school talent recruited in his 4 plus years

Like it or not Konkol's recruits are higher rated than White's are and Mike had the luxury of literally NO EXPECTATIONS his first two years here
