I think maybe some folks are being overly critical of Higgins because of the DWI incident. My God, if the laws and cops were as overly zealous in my day we would all have a long rap sheet.

That's complete crap. I've been critical of Higgins when he deserved it, and I haven't even given the/DWI a FIRST thought, much less a second. And I will continue to be critical of him as long as he keeps making bonehead plays like he did when he DROPPED the football on a 4th Qtr drive when nobody touched him. He does something stupid like that in every game. It needs to stop.

So, we've learned we are not very good against the pass. Now we find out about the run. UTEP's RB (Aaron Jones) is #2 in the nation in total rushing yards. Traditionally, we are much better against the run than the pass.

I hope we don't struggle - I just think back to the FIU game last year - basically same scenario with a less talented qb and rb on our sidelines

They will get at least 20. We aren't very good. I was optimistic about this team but not so much anymore. We will win 4-6 games (SC St, UNT, FIU and UMASS maybe, we suck on the road under Holtz, Rice, UTEP) but it will be because teams we play are worst in the nation. I don't know how you aren't concerned about our defense. We are beyond that point. We are kinda like the 2012 team in that we can't stop other teams, we can score (although not as many as that team), and we won't beat any teams that have winning records.

You're right! I am down. I really hope we figure something out this week becuase WKU is better than MTSU. Hopefully we can get it going at home and build some momentum going into the second half of our schedule!
