I did a copy and paste from a previous thread, forgot to update that!
We are favored by 16.
It should be a lot worse than that.
LA Tech is averaging 47 points a game with Higgins at the helm (5 games). And dare I say that's against competition that's mostly a lot more talented than UMASS (e.g., TX Tech, WKU, etc....)
By contrast, UMASS is averaging only 18.3 pts per game, and scored only 16 points in its last game against CUSA member Old Dominion and 13 against CUSA's FIU in game 3.
Tech wins by 30.
I'm going to the game, what section should I buy tickets?
If we play offense for 4 quarters...
My crystal ball says Tech wins 35 - 21 at UMass.
I'd be happy with a 1 pt win. Nerve-racking! But, I'll take it.
Most important thing is just to get the "W."
UMass will score 30, so if we score 60 then I agree we win by 30.
We have struggled on long road trips since Holtz has arrived. I agree that we will win but I think it will be more like a 10-pt game! I am thinking 38-27 type game.
