LSU got them a new tiger. I guess it's easier to obtain a tiger over a bulldog.

"Although no replacement timetable has been announced, university administrators and student representatives say they will begin formal discussions by the end of the fall quarter."
I wonder if any discussion were held at the "end of the fall quarter" last year regarding our mascot program. How many months does it take to get a dog?
Note that they didn't say which fall quarter.
2019 evidently...

This one is available right now from the breeder that provided our last mascot's momma.

How about we buy it and donate it to Tech. Let's get it done.
Late to the party on this but I have to respond to such a heinous suggestion. These mongrels shouldn't be anywhere close to the state t logo. This isn't a house pet. No rescue mutts either. This isn't charity. We don't give out football scholarships to 1-star rescue players. Any thing less than a pure bred english is less than half ass.
If we cannot work in the expenses of buying and caring for the dog and the effort of finding a suitable keeper, then we clearly aren't trying. On that note, SGA shouldn't have anything to do with this. This should be a sustainable PROGRAM. Find a breeder who can produce a healthy dog every four years, find a vet, find a keeper (preferably the breeder). Pay them somehow.
Our past bad experience is making us look like a bunch of pansies. Yea we should have a dog and a damn good one. It should be the most expensive and healthy english bulldog in the country. It still wouldn't cost very much.
Hmm. Much like LA Tech, some of you seem to have turned housing, feeding and caring for a single dog into a much bigger deal than it should be. We're not splitting atoms here folks.
