Teams have to be strong on defense and on special teams to be "great." We've seen Sonny's "great offense" teams with crappy defenses around these parts.

South Carolina 27 UMASS 14 Halftime
North Texas's defense against Army is impressing me. They lead 14-10 at half.
UMass had 3 turnovers in the first half
UNT just went up 21 - 10 at Army early in Q3.
UMass is just making this easy for SC with the penalties and turnovers.
That escalated quickly... Army fumbled at midfield. UNT made them pay for it.
UNT 28 - Army 10 7:30 left in Q3.
Those two teams (two seasons) were a combined 0-1 in bowl games. Hmmmm....now that's greatness!
But for me, with a decent defense, I am talking about 2-0 in bowls, including beating Florida State in the frickin' Orange Bowl! But, I can understand how some would see 0-1 as being great, given their accomplishments.
I am stunned that any true blue diehard Tech fan is not disappointed, even disgusted, how close we got to greatness, but came up short. But the truth is, we were on that path but did not make it.
UMASS and USC are playing a game of hot potato. I don't want the ball, you take it!
UNT 35 - Army 18 5:30 left in Q4
