Don't think so - He has been burned once already
I think in a few weeks the news will be released that his contract has been reworked and he will be awarded a contract in the neighborhood of $800k to $900k annually plus realistic bonuses
I'm not saying he will be here for ever, but I think his stint at USF and what he left behind at ECU helps our cause
I wouldn't leave Ruston for $2.5 million to go to UK or KU and be ought of a job in 3 years if I could make almost a million here and have total control
I think Skip is very smart -
Folks tend to forget, Mike White would still be here if not for Billy Donovan going to OKC at the last minute from UF

Looks like quite a bargain for us.
Is this just what we are paying him? Does he still draw from USF?
Coach Lafayette is paid $400k MORE than the next closest SuckBelt school.
Here is Isabella's take on it...

If Skip wins 9 or 10 games again this year, he's almost certain to receive other, better paying, job offers. After 3 straight 9-win (or better) seasons, and 3 bowl appearances (and 3 possible bowl victories) in a row, I can't help but think Skip's value is going to sky rocket in the market place. Even if he doesn't receive a P5 offer, he could go to a place like Rice and easily double his money.
My suggestion: Get Skip's new contract done quickly. It won't keep the P5's away, but it should keep the Rice's and other G5's at bay.
