I'm glad our band is going to be at UNT and I hope to see them in Hattiesburg for the Rivalry in Dixie.

It was probably the weakest MOB show I've seen. Not funny nor entertaining.
I think at least a Hoop Troop size band would be nice. As you mentioned, it's over a break, so a lot of the students probably already have plans to go home.
If someone could donate a bus or two, then have the band members volunteer to go. That would be cool.
We had a smaller size band at UL-L a few years ago and it was enough.
I am liking the student body singing Anthem along with band
I love the percussion being broken out and letting them have a moment during the halftime performance. these last two games have def felt more like a show than in the past. huge props to the BOP.
But....can we PLEASE find a replacement for Nancy Bergeron!
"wadies and gwentlewen..."
There has been interest expressed and discussion had about the USM game but logistically it's going to be almost impossible. It isn't a money thing. I actually have a donor willing to fund it. It's the Friday after thanksgiving. Kids will be at home. Can't require it...so it would be volunteers only. Most would travel independently and not by bus as a group. They'd have to travel home after the game, again, driving themselves. There's concern over their safety doing that. And that's just for starters.
It would be great, but the biggest impact for the program and for Tech...and bang for the buck...is going to be the UNT game. Next year that may be Rice.
We don't recruit Hattiesburg.
Question for RhythmDawg: why can members of athletics teams be required to stay in Ruston and participate during break but band members can't? Please know, I'm not complaining, just asking.
The school needs to be accommodating in opening housing and food service. That has been a disappointment when I was in college.
I agree--that is a disappointment.
I thought the new uniforms looked great. This is the first time I have gotten to see them. Although the streaming wasn't great, at least there were some close up shots of the stands and the band.
