After watching the MUTS/FIU game on ESPN3, it's hard to understand how Tech only scored 34 on the MUTS.

LA Tech got ahead 27-7.....and failed to score a single point TWICE that night with 1st downs inside the 6-yd line each time.

But in the middle of the 3rd qtr, you started feeling it slipping away. With Carlos Henderson hurt on the bench --AGAIN-- the play calling suddenly got FAR too conservative, and you just KNEW this was going to be the next "WTF" game. It had the same MO as such notable "WTF" games against NSU, ODU, Marshall and Houston. Just a terrible feeling.....because you KNEW without a doubt that this team was better than MTSU. Just sad.

MT is good and they were favored by 4 points. That being said, we should have won. Probably doesn't qualify as a true wtf game since it ended exactly as predicted by Vegas though. Just a good win that we let get away from us.

Vegas can be wrong. MTSU wasnt the better team that night, just the luckier team.

I think the fact that we failed to score a single point on two separate trips inside the MTSU 6-yd line, and we lost a 20-point lead in the 3rd Qtr easily qualifies it as a "WTF" game.

Disagree. That game is just one that got away. Like Skip said, two inches to the right on the FG try, and we are saying it was a signature game. MTSU was a little of both, but it was more of a DAMN! game than a WTF game. A WTF game is a Old Dominion or NSU game.

Arkansas is more of a Marshall WTF game, according to HogDawg's list. Or Miss State in 2011. Or Texas A&M in 2012. Or Kansas in 2013. Or Kansas St. in 2015.

Horsefeathers. An overtime loss against a conference opponent on the road is nobody's worst loss.

It sucks and Tech shoulda won. But it wasn't a bad loss.
