Wifey and I will be there Lord willing. Planning to leave Ruston Friday morning and spend the weekend in Lewesville .
I will be there +3
For those of you wanting a small get away from north LA for the weekend, I might recommend taking your spouse to the Courtyard Mariott on Stacy Rd in Allen, TX, for a Friday day and night shopping and dining experience.

This hotel is located at the corner of Hwy 75 and Stacy Rd in the "Villages of Allen" shopping enter, right in front of the Allen Events Center. It is surrounded by a ton of of shopping, bars and good restaurants. There's even a "Top Golf" location right behind the hotel, and a really nice "Outlet Mall" catercornered across the highway.
And if you run out of things to do in Allen, you can drive literally 5 miles up Hwy 75 to downtown McKinney and experience the McKinney historic district, which is certainly unique. In fact, I highly recommend taking your wife to a Saturday morning breakfast or lunch at "Spoons Cafe" right on the town square in downtown McKinney. "Snug on the Square" is another good breakfast hole and great coffee shop on the town square as well.

Also on the square in downtown McKinney is a hotel called "The Grand Hotel". It's really nice. It's got a very cool pub inside, and it has a top notch steakhouse -Rick's-- right there on the square too. This hotel, restaurant and bar are all great, but probably a little pricey for some folks.

After you're finally tired of enjoying the good life in Collin County , you can make the 30-40 minute drive over to the "other side of the tracks" to visit our blue collar neighbor, Denton County, to watch LA Tech destroy UNT. From McKinney, it's straight west, down Hwy 380 about 26 miles. But the traffic will make it about a 40-min drive.
This is TRUTH! Do NOT go up I35E without adding an extra hour to your trip and a full tank of gas. The traffic due to road construction is HORRIFIC on I35 from Lewisville to Denton! Go up to McKinney on 75 and then west on 380; that will take you straight to the stadium and without a traumatic driving experience.
I'll be there with +3. My first football game this year!!!! What color are we (players and fans wearing)?
Looks like there should be a pretty good Tech crowd at the game.
Myself and an old Tech roommate got our tickets last night. Section 205
There will also be a race at Texas Motor Speedway, so I35W will be backed up. Personally I would look at the time estimate on google maps, then add 10%.
I35E is a little better than it was because they have the second bridge open, but any wreck will cause it to become a nightmare.
I'm hoping to get up there but it isn't looking good.
