With 40% of the precincts reporting, both Kennedy and Johnson enjoy nice leads, basically about 65% to 35%. Looking good.

Johnson's lead should stay close to 65-35. Orleans Parish voted 84% to 16% Campbell in early voting and results are way behind rest of state. Kennedy's lead looks plenty solid in the rest of the state. Orleans Parish is our "California".

Trump will have a 52-48 advantage in the Senate. But really, many pundits are saying there are enough democraps in the Senate up for re-election, in red states, who will "go along, to get along" with Trump's agenda giving them a better chance of winning in 2018. If true, Trump should find resistance minimal and be able to get a lot of his policies through Congress. Hmmmm...... democraps are sleazy and politicians are politicians. We'll see.
