Yes and no. Culturally, Purdue is the same part of the state as Notre Dame, while Louisiana Tech is in a different cultural part of the state than ULL. As for everything else, I agree.
It would just mean something if Holtz misses Northern Indiana...

Holtz got his bread buttered once and it ended up face down on the floor. If we'll do right by him now we'll have him a while longer. And that would be a good thing for all of us.

The end of his 4th year with one year to go is the normal time for renegotiation. I'm hearing that his contract has already been renegotiated and will be announced at or near the end of the season...just as it should.
Nobody will go to Purdue unless they want to wrap up their HC career in the next 3 years. It's a dead end job.
Is Coach Roid Leopard on the Purdue list? He won four NO Bowls and then gave one back. He knows how to invite all of his opponent's recruits and then take a big dump right in front of them. And, and....oh, never mind...I just got bored with it.
