    Hit 'em where it hurts?

Gannett...Not sure how much if any of their "sponsorship" is tied to the Times. TNS is (or was) listed as a major sponsor. There was a time when being "partners" with the local publication was a plus. Is it still? We have been dealing with the "Me Too U" situation for years. While we've had decent beat writers over the past several years, our guy has to split time time with Grambling while nlulm has always had their solo person to cover them. How many people still read TNS compared to when the deal was cut? We get NOTHING out of The Times or the Alexandria rag.

If we are giving them money for advertisment stop! If it is an "in kind" partnership stop! Time to cut ties with the whole bunch. Let them survive on nlulm in Monroe. What good do they do us?

Not really. Ruston still has the RDL. Monroe/WM has a weekly in the Ouachita Citizen.

People haven't realized yet that the bosses for Monroe and Shreveport will be housed in Lafayette. That won't be good. Need to cut them off before they get a chance to give us even less coverage.

According to Woof!'s reading comprehension, you just said that you want to take money and jobs away from an important area for Tech recruiting and Tech fans.
