157,000 new jobs created, unemployment rate at 3.9%.
Wages are trending up. Latest figures at 2.5% increase the past quarter. Critics of Trump's success have pointed to the wage level, which was generally stagnant or inched up only a small fraction in 2017, and say, the average American is not sharing in the good news. Well, most of us knew that wasn't true...the tax cut alone put more money in people's pockets. And jobs were much more secure because of Trump. But, we also knew wages/salaries would follow as the market, when left to its own devices, is always true. It's just that market forces don't always move as fast as some want them to.
But, we're seeing movement in wages as companies are having to compete for quality employees. People have real choices now, and the average American doesn't have to settle for "just any job" any longer. As highly trained/experienced workers move up and move out to "greener pastures" they leave behind positions that have to be filled. All of this takes time. And, Trump is still unraveling 8 years of the worst era in American economic history.
Personally, I am disappointed he hasn't moved quickly enough. It is true he has trashed many, many obummer regulations, and that is helping the economy stretch its wings. But, there are still some regs in place that are hindering economic progress. Banks are still too hamstrung, for instance.

Interesting that Trump now admits on Twitter that the purpose of the Trump Tower meeting was to get dirt on Hillary. Why all the lies and misdirection from Trump (through the statement he wrote for Don Jr.) and other Trump representatives after the New York Times originally broke the story?

First, no one has to look beyond all the things she has admitted to, to find enough "dirt" to send her azz to prison.

Secondly, because of the first, and the fact nothing has happened to her, what difference would more "dirt" make? Would just add to the already long list of criminal deeds she has gotten away with.
Thirdly, the only crime committed in all of this was Krooked Killary and the DNC paying foreign operatives to produce a false dossier. Which, is just another deed on that aforementioned long list.
So the reason he lied was out of shame?

Speaks to what is about to happen to the Deep State. They are in a Peel P50 (the world's smallest car) and the good guys are in a MACK TRUCK. This collision won't be pretty for them.
