The 210-day time limitation is tied to the vacancy itself, rather than to any person serving in the office, and the period generally begins on the date that the vacancy occurs.
    https://fas.org/sgp/crs/misc/R44997.pdf

The 210-day limitation is a hard count regardless of who serves.
Also, they can serve up to three consecutive 210-day periods based on the rejection of the first and second nominees. That person is then barred from serving as an acting officer.

So in theory, Whitaker can serve as the acting Attorney General until July 2020.

Disappointing that Trump couldn’t be bothered to attend the wreath laying ceremony in Arlington on this Veteran’s Day. The same day that he suggest via tweet that ballots that haven’t yet arrived (like those mailed in from our deployed military) shouldn’t be counted.

“President Trump is spending Monday at the White House and had no plans to visit Arlington National Cemetery in northern Virginia as America observes the Veterans Day holiday.

The White House announced a so-called travel lid at 10 a.m. ET, meaning that the president is not expected to hold any public events or leave the executive mansion.“

And? The wreath laying ceremony (your complaint) was on Sunday, not Monday. And it was better for everyone else that he didn't make Monday about him. Celebrations for Veteran's Day happened on Sunday across the country. Monday is just an observed day that, at its essence, is just a free vacation day because the federal holiday didn't fall on a workday.

Got tired of repeating myself, but I will say the same thing to you about Trump I said to the others about Obama: There is enough stuff to complain about without making stuff up. You lose your argument and all ground to stand on the moment you start doing that.

He could have come back after the Armistice a day celebration (where he was embarrassed by Macron) since he skipped out on going to the American cemetery.

We always tend to let facts get in the way of a good narrative.

It’s also funny that we know libs believe that Trump thinks he is God, but now they believe it too. After all, they want him to be in 2 places at once.

Ya know....I have been critical of Trump at times, mostly re: his mouth and his Tweets, and sometimes his policies, such as his DACA proposal to the Dems which was way to generous to the illegal slimebuckets. But, then I offer HONEST opinions, which is because I have core beliefs, from which I never waiver (or is it "waver?") But you, who CLAIM to be some holier-than-thou "independent" are nothing more than a lying silly person. I've told you before your mess doesn't work here. The rest of us laugh at you.

Trump's patriotism being questioned by socialists is a new wrinkle.

He isn’t patriotic. He only defends the flag when it is a wedge issue. He chooses not to do it when it could unify people.
