Rush’s callers are wearing the President out over this latest spending bill. Rush is trying the be a good soldier, but he’s struggling.
I think Trump was set up and wish he would have vetoed it. Make the House and Senate come back to DC and read the dang'ed thing for 2 weeks and get rid of 1/2 - 1/3 of it.
That was the path Hannity suggested. Fiscal irresponsibility...thousands of pages of it.
Well, 71% of house republicans voted for the bill and 50% of the senate republicans did the same. With 65 senators voting for it (and three not voting), the likelihood is that they had the votes to override a veto anyway.
Given all that, I don't think the blame really lies at the feet of Trump (this came out of a republican controlled house and senate), but he doesn't go blameless either. This is a bill Bush, Obama, Clinton or Romney would have signed as well, so maybe this was Trump's establishment coming out party!
The 71% of republicans voting for this in the house and the 50% in the senate are the reason Trump got elected in the first place. Republicans cannot be trusted to act conservatively (but they do talk a good game).

The Swamp scored a TD on this deal. But, it's still the 1st Qtr and Trump is a winner. One touchdown won't win this game.
Trump's base will leave him over the spending bill he just signed. I know I'm done. Many have already written off the Republican Party as 100% DC establishment, and with his signing of this abomination of a budget, it now seems that even Trump has capitulated to that DC establishment. He was our last hope for saving this nation and now, even that hope looks to be gone. What a shame.

Trump said why he signed it: for the military. Now that the military has been taken care of, for some foreseeable future, The Swamp can't hold it hostage again on the next spending bill. Trump has mostly been good on his word (with a few hiccups). The other point is, as chitty as it is, we can't abandon the Repub Party...yet. The 'craps are pure evil. Allowing them their dream scenario of one-party rule, fascism*, will kill this nation. Nope. We have to stay the course, keep supporting Trump and those few Repubs who actually care about liberty.
* I know that technically "fascism" means one-party and a single leader of said party.
Going strictly by your gut, not reading reports or investing time in understanding issues, not listening to advisors, obsessing over what media figures say, and engaging anyone and everyone in twitter tirades was never a good recipe for successful governance.
His predecessor showed us a bad recipe for governance in Spades. Each president will be swamp material until we can elect a truly conservative governing body.

Kinda gross how Trump told Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal that they reminded him of his daughter in connection with his philandering of each of them. He has always had a weird fixation and physical attraction with his own daughter.
