Every time I see Rubio speak, I can’t help but think “what could have been.” He was far and away the best candidate of the lot.
Which of these Rubio policies are you fond of? Asterisk indicates agreement with current WH occupant.

My personal top 3 when the primaries began were, in no particular order: Cruz, Rubio, and Kasich. By the time we got to the Louisiana Primary that cycle, Rubio had already dropped out, or was about to, and I voted for Ted Cruz, who I really like.
I only jumped on the Trump bandwagon after he secured the nomination. Then it was a matter of him vs. Krooked Killary. That choice was rendered very, very, very easy. Had the 'craps nominated someone....well, not Sanders, he's honest, but he's honestly a socialist...not so objectionable, I probably would have still voted for Trump, but it would have been only a very easy choice (rather than a "very easy" x 3 choice).
In the bigger picture, with an eye toward 2020 and beyond, has the Democrap Party forever slipped into the abyss of communism, or is there some hope the party can be saved from itself?
In that same regard, will the GOP reinvent itself as the Party of Reagan, or has it slipped down the slope into RINOism with no hope of revival?
It is interesting to speak with folks with various political views. Some of my most leftist friends...well, the ones without that selfish chip, say they are monitoring how this whole Trump experiment plays out and how it affects the anti-Swamp movement. These leftists are anti DC Establishment too, but from the opposite direction. They supported Sanders...as an outsider...which is interesting given his stint as senator, but his greatest asset, according to them, is he is NOT 'Hillary Clinton.' That's what they call Krooked Killary. They too want to see the major parties...well, at least the Democrap Party...embrace "non-establishment" candidates. I suppose that's why that woman beat Crowley (?) in that NY primary.
These leftists want to see Trump's presidency destroyed, of course, but they don't want it so utterly destroyed that it makes the average American voter turn away from outsiders, saying, well, we'll vote for/support career politicians from now on. Quite a quandary they find themselves in. Destroy Trump's presidency without destroying the concept of a non-career politician being a viable candidate for POTUS. This is also shows just how fractured and diverse the voting populous is. One of these lefties admitted, to the group, because they all think I'm a devout moderate, with redeeming qualities, she is upset that the right beat them to it. Meaning, those dastardly conservatives got an outsider elected before we(they) did! It does drive home the point that there's a trend toward ant-Swamp happening, and it's happening on both sides of the political spectrum.
Should make the upcoming mid-terms a little more interesting. Perhaps for the first time ever, or at least in a long time, being the incumbent is a disadvantage. If true...it's about time.
My objections with Trump have less to do with policy than it does the man behind the curtain and the harm he does.
I have followed Rubio long enough to know how he would lead - he is a measured pragmatist rather than an idealogue. And is certainly not a populist blowhard that stokes the worst feelings and fears in Americans.
First, Trump is not a disaster. The only people who are upset with him (for the most part) are those who hate America and/or want to take advantage of us. Yes, at first the leaders in NATO expressed some dissatisfaction with Trump, but only because they didn't want to pony up more money and pay their fair share. They've mostly gotten over that now. And that is just one example. Other examples are the illegal aliens who have been robbing US taxpayers blind for years, and those special interest groups who also benefit from the illegals being here. And the list of detractors goes on. But there's not any on that list who is anything but a sorry sack of chit. So, who cares what they think!?
Most importantly, the real disaster would have been Krooked Killary. Thank God she lost!
Hmmm....I'm beginning to see why you, a devout leftist, likes Rubio, even if it's just a little. At best he's a RINO, at worst a 'crap in sheep's clothing. That's what many good Floridians are saying. Perhaps so. What I do see is someone who plans to seek the WH again, maybe in 2020, but for sure in 2024, and right now is playing everything down the middle. He's politically pragmatic, which means you are bound to offend some who might otherwise support you, on the edges.
Great.
So I have you down as anti-gay marriage, anti Syrian refugee, against the Iran nuke agreement, against Obamacare, pro corporate tax cuts and against doing anything for climate change. Even though those are positions you have taken the exact opposite of in the past.
THIS is what TDS looks like. No moral compass except to be against Trump.
Oh, I figured out why you said you were pro Rubio. He was on the talking head circuit over the weekend saying he did not believe Trump was improperly bugged. So, you'd sell your soul for ANYTHING that makes Trump look bad. Pitiful (and tribal).
