    A very stupid appointment by Trump when looking back now IMHO. Thank the Lord he's gone.

    And from Wiki;

    By July 2018, Pruitt was under at least 14 separate federal investigations by the
    Government Accountability Office, the E.P.A. inspector general, the White House Office of Management and Budget, the U.S. Office of Special Counsel, and two House committees over his spending habits, conflicts of interests, extreme secrecy, and management practices. Pruitt made frequent use of first class travel as well as frequent charter and military flights. As EPA administrator, Pruitt leased a condo in Washington D.C. at a deeply discounted rate from a lobbyist whose clients were regulated by the EPA. Pruitt further caused ethics concerns by circumventing the White House and using a narrow provision of the Safe Drinking Water Act to autonomously give raises to his two closest aides of approximately $28,000 and $57,000 each, which were substantially higher than salaries paid to those in similar positions in the Obama administration, and which allowed both to avoid signing conflicts of interest pledges. By June 2018, amid a steady succession of revelations of misconduct, a growing chorus of conservatives had begun suggesting that Pruitt should resign. On July 5, 2018, Pruitt announced he would resign from office on July 6.[4][5]

    Why EPA’s Scott Pruitt had to go (and what to expect now)

    That's debatable, but those unemployment numbers sure as heck aren't. President Trump just keeps kicking ass and taking names. No matter how much negative press is thrown at him, his approval ratings keep rising. At this pace, he's sure to go down as one of the greatest presidents ever. As Dave Nitz would say, You gotta love it!!!!!!!!!!

    Sometimes I think you are just arguing for the sake of arguing. Then sometimes I think you really don't understand how stuff works at all. Today I think the latter.

    I was just trolling over the fact that the unemployment rate just went up for the first time in over a year.

    Re: President Trump

    4% unemployment is considered "full employment." Yes, that is an arbitrary number, but does represent decades of stats and data gathering. The most recent, just released June number, is 3.8%. That is excellent, by any measure.

    Of course there are those who want the news to be bad. Their lust for power and their demented hatred for our great President supercedes any concerns for America or Americans. The truth is unemployment rates under obummer were much worse than advertised, even when they reached the admitted double-digits of 10%. Early on, in his first year (2009) some of that was not obummer's fault...well, it was insomuch as he participated in that inquisition of mortgage lenders in 2004 and afterwards, causing the whole sub-prime mess and ultimate collapse. But looking strictly at his role as POTUS, he did inherit an economic mess. But, it's also true his policies, and those of the 'craps in charge in Congress, only exacerbated the mess. The REAL unemployment rate reached a documented 16% with an actual rate closer to 21% (people who had given up and stopped looking were no longer counted).

    The biggest issue now is finding enough qualified and willing employees. Many companies simply cannot find enough people to fill all of their vacant positions. Some have even suspended drug testing, or at least portions of it, as a pre-employment requirement. Some of this national problem is location, or more accurately, relocation. There are qualified potential workers in one state, but the job openings are in other states. Still, all this points to the booming economy thanks to President Donald Trump.

    And that's the fact, Jack!

    May was 3.8. June was 4.0. But not a big deal.

    Labor participation rate went up. I have never been a fan of the unemployment statistic because it doesn't come close to representing what it claims to represent. If you started giving out money as guaranteed income like some on the left are proposing, the unemployment rate would likely go down to below 2%, because most collecting free money would not be interested in working. Of course, the opiate crisis, abortion crisis and crime rate would go up considerably if that were to happen, because people tend to value life (and their stuff) when they do productive stuff to earn their keep. Progressive policies that make people dependent on the government tend to kill the human spirit and lead to hopelessness.

    3.8, 4.0 and all the other numbers are total BS (and have been for some time).

    Everything about the jobs report was good...except the wage growth rate. That will likely improve too once we stop outsourcing work to places where the standard of living is significantly below ours and we stop letting people stay here illegally that are willing to work for WAY less than the minimum wage the left fights so hard to raise.

    That is not a wage increase.
