He may be slow to react to good advice, but contrary to the beliefs of many, he is not too prideful to take advice from those who understand the corrupt system of politics in Washington.

If you're discussing the special counsel, I personally believe the acting AG operated independently of the WH. I'd think there is pressure on the AGs office, most likely from congressional republicans.
Trump took advice on the response last night, but disregarded it when he took to twitter YET AGAIN this morning to call it a witch hunt. If the WH had the idea to appoint a SC, I don't know why he'd provoke mueller and bring more attention to the matter.
I, like you, think Trump takes advice. It doesn't seem like he's been getting very assertive advice recently. I often wonder the weight he places on the advice of Haley, Pence, and Tillerson relative to Kuschner, Bannon, and others.
Yeah, that was not trump's decision. He wasn't there and the White House wasn't even notified before the appointment was filed. They were notified after with less than an hour to prepare before it went public.
Spicer had just said reiterated the administrations position that a special prosecutor wasn't needed.
