Guiss is right. And, Trump has no authority to overrule the governors on this.
We may be trending in the right direction by Easter, but many things will still need to be closed unless our testing increases exponentially.
That said, Trump has left himself plenty of room on this issue...provided he’s smart enough to use it.
I think he is wrong about it starting back up by Easter, but I do think it will start back up by the end of April. You're fighting a straw man about "it wasn't Trump that turned off the economy in the first place". No one said he did and he is not suggesting he is going to overrule the state and local governments. I don't know what the breaking point will be, but I suspect before the end of April people will decide the self quarantine is worse than the disease and will decide to go back to work and risk it. Especially if some of the drugs start showing promise and the death rate drops.
He can suggest what he wants, but thankfully no one is going to listen to him if he suggests people go back, because people will ultimately do what they think is right for the safety of their communities - just like they did from the start without any suggestions from Trump.

So, in the wee hours this morning the Senate leadership agreed to terms for a bill. It's to be voted on today and then sent to the House. McConnell and Schumer said they are both confident Trump will sign this bill. Okay, now it is up to Pelosi...God help us.
And did I see that the household income threshold set to qualify for the checks is at $120K? If so....damn! left out again.
