Climate change is a real threat to America.
Climate change is a real threat to America.

How we handle the optics and the future relationships concerns me, but I think this was the right move.

Comey has been an emotionally agenda filled liar and hated by both sides. Nobody will believe nor trust him now as he is just a bitter played off ex-fed employee. IMHO, nothing will come out of this one especially after the other real shoes drop.
Folks at MIT don't think so.

Even if every nation fulfilled everything promised — including Obama’s undertakings — it would get us nowhere near achieving the treaty’s much-hyped, unrealistic promise to keep temperature rises under 1.5 degrees Celsius.
The U.N. itself has estimated that even if every country lived up to every single promised carbon cut between 2016 and 2030, emissions would be cut by just one-hundredth of what is needed to keep temperature rises below 2 C.
My analysis, similar to findings by scientists at MIT, shows that even if these promises were extended for 70 more years, then they'd only reduce temperature rises about 0.3 degrees F by 2100.
Where does that say MIT doesn't think climate change is a threat? Seems like what you just quoted says that the Paris Climate accord, alone, won't be enough to offset it.
Good old Memorial Gym
Turns out MIT has already responded to Trump's misuse of their study.

"We certainly do not support the withdrawal of the U.S. from the Paris agreement," said Erwan Monier, a lead researcher at the MIT Joint Program on the Science and Policy of Global Change, and one of the study's authors.
"If we don't do anything, we might shoot over 5 degrees or more and that would be catastrophic," said John Reilly, the co-director of the program, adding that MIT's scientists had had no contact with the White House and were not offered a chance to explain their work.
I don't know when you guys are going to learn you can't trust a thing Trump says. Seriously, he does this nonsense all the time!
