With all due respect, all too often we let this happen.
Two different statements. Read before you jump to conclusions.
"Investigated for firing FBI director ...."
"...not under investigation in the probe into alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. presidential race."
See how easy it is to get "news" wrong?
Bigger fish to fry. It "ain't" about us -vs- them, it is about WE The People.
We all need to take a deep breath, not get all tight about D.C./ media circus/twitter foolishness.
The election is over. Trump was elected President. No evidence of crime, yet we are talking impeachment, straining to get blood from the turnip.
I'm more concerned about the debt WE are building up for our great grandchildren to pay off (or sink under).
(My humble opinion)
"The fact of the matter is the president has not been and is not under investigation," Jay Sekulow, a new member of Trump's legal team, said on CBS' "Face the Nation" in one of four interviews he gave on Sunday.
A tweet from Trump himself on Friday that began with: "I am being investigated."
This is why Trump has no credibility. We are constantly getting contradictory accounts from him and his team.
I think the left is sinking under the weight of all these unfounded accusations. My freshman room mate at TECH was here this weekend and his daughter, who I thought was a staunch liberal, is starting to see the light. "I'm disgusted with the repeated attacks on the president. It is nothing but a witch hunt and I am tired of it!"

The democrats keep complaining about Trump, and, they keep losing. They're so focused on trying to impeach trump that they don't even know what the issues are now. That Maxine Waters syndrome is spreading throughout the democrat party.
Trumps says there are no tapes. Are we surprised? Not really.

It was just bluster and an attempt to intimidate Comey that failed.
He did succeed in getting Comey to admit to the media that the FBI was never personally investigating Trump, and Comey testified the NYT paper reporting that to be wrong. That is a success for him, and it is why we hear more about obstruction than collusion in most news stories today
