The nation has already suffered a bloody civil war, so don't think the good ole USA is not capable of such things. And, the next civil war will be much, much worse too! It won't be nice, neat sectional factions with armies in the field, adhering to "rules" of war. It will be wanton, indiscriminate murder in the streets....and retaliation. It will be an ideological conflict, and it will take time for the "sides" to sort themselves out. AND! if it gets bad enough, such that our military is divided and taking sides, we will be open to foreign intervention, even invasion. Of course, the whole world will sink into open conflict, a true World War. With the US involved in its own civil war, the bad guys around the world will take that opportunity to do "bad stuff."
Whoa! that's a pretty bleak picture. Hopefully clearer heads will prevail and the powers-that-be will stop and think about the consequences before allowing it to get to that boiling point. There are those...anarchists, funded by the George Soros of the world, who will seize the opportunity to throw fuel on the fire of any spark.
Thomas Jefferson said: it's not only the right, but the responsibility of the people to change the government. [when it is no longer serving the people]. I think the election of Trump is the first shot fired in that philosophic movement. From the opposite political viewpoint, the success of Bernie Sanders is another indicator that the American people have tired of BOTH the 'craps and the Repubs, and the old Washington establishment. I pray we citizens will resign ourselves to use peaceful means, the political system, to make change to our government.
We don't want/need armed conflict.
