Posted before I saw your post-- ditto "they were actually there".... in my early years I left many a game because I had a date and she was not into it and , well I had wrong priorities then

Then there was this young man. I don't know if his dad or mom is on BB&B, but in case you see this...y'all are doing a GREAT job. This, my Bulldog brothers and sisters is a SUPER FAN...made his own signs, and never sat down the whole game (that I saw, anyway). I was inspired for sure...

Same happened to the blue hairs on the west, stands were pretty empty after half.

I admit it. I will leave early if it is a blowout and I if I have to travel back to Houston. Probably shouldn't. I missed the last four combined TDs last night. The onside kick return would have been worth the wait.

So . . . . with the delayed start on the first game of the year, our fans hung around 3.5 of our five . . . . YES, ONLY FIVE . . . home games.

Okay, while I would prefer we have 27,000+ every game and everyone stays to sing with the BOP, "It's hard to be humble..." That ain't happening right now, or in the near future. So, I am thankful for the fan base we do have. "Part time" fans > no shows.

I know Tech grads who live in frickin' Monroe!!! who have never been back for a home game since they graduated years ago. Never!! One of them was in the BOP. He admits that is pretty bad and he "should" attend some games.

So, lament the actions of some of our students, leaving after halftime, but at least they were actually there for awhile.

Meanwhile, we pick up some fans, like those I met last night, who have no other connection to Tech than our brand of football. Their daughter, currently a sophomore in high school, said she always just assumed she would attend LSU, but is now seriously considering Tech. There ya go. Building it one fan at a time!

they were not there for their school or the team "ever loyal be" and most of the people who travel in for games and buy ticket for those reason. Without that then we will never build the foundation. and all that marketing to students is total BS they are Louisiana tech students and the positives that go with it, but as infall things their is responsibility as well.
