I hope we move stadium drive and build a "real" indoor practice facility as was shown on the master plan.

Come on, Champ, Tech needs an indoor practice facility. You're too young to be so old school so you must have another problem. To that end, (pun intended) I have a cranialrectal removal device I have to use on clients periodically. You can use it for free!
I want LED lights inside the TAC and at JC Love as the next project...

I found this head shot of Champ967 on LinkedIn:
Yes, construction for HogDawg's infamous "Beer Garden" is scheduled to begin soon in the Southwest corner, between the Stadium and the DAC. I first recommended this for LA Tech 10 or 12 years ago (maybe longer). Now everybody else is catching up and gonna pass us by if we don't get on it.

Indoor Practice Field = Most over-rated facility in sports. Personally I just don't like 'em. IMO, they clutter the campus. And unless you are in an extremely bad weather climate, it's not worth the bother to me.
If you absolutely insist on wasting money on one of these albatrosses, I would recommend building a "Pavilion" indoor facility (which won't require heating and cooling, etc..) like UAB's new one. Can probably be built for $5M to $10M easily, depending on what you put in it. UAB spent $4.7M on theirs.

UAB will pay $4.7 million for the pavilion instead of about $15 million for a regular indoor facility, Ingram said. Since walls don't need to be built, UAB will save significant money by not paying for windows, doors, air conditioning, a fire and sprinkler system, and additional lighting that would be needed for a truly enclosed indoor field.
"If it's raining, the field is dry. If it's hot, you're under shade," UAB AD Ingram said. "So what do we need the walls for? At the end of the day, what are we talking about? It doesn't get cold here.
An indoor practice facility would be a huge marketing tool for Tech. Every Frisco ISD High School has an indoor practice facility (9 of them). They are multi purpose and used for many different sports besides football. They have batting cages suspended from ceiling and lowered during baseball season so that baseball and softball teams can still practice during spring storms. They have also put wrestling mats on the turf and held wrestling tournaments in the facility. Powerlifting could also use this facility for tournaments. High School Teams could tour the facility, We could host HS events there. Huge potential IMO.
