That equipment truck looks black and red, so maybe. I think Ive gone back to 2004 and havent found a team at home on the schedules with those colors outside of Nicholls and ULL.

You can tell by the group in solid red on the 50 yard line on the east side, as well as the other groups in solid red on that side of the field. That was that particular Fresno game.

I'm actually pretty sure it's a conference game - homecoming for 2008. Fresno State. Our team is on the visitor's side, so you know it's not a non-conference.

Only reason I know is because I remember the photographer commissioning a Tech airplane to get the photo done.

I posted the picture from a post card on ebay and never saw anybody who had posted a picture of the back of the card.

I remember watching them put up the main supports out of my dorm window. They had forms for only two or three at a time. After the main supports the flooring/Seating was put on in sections like large concrete steps leaving some spaces between that had to be filled in with rebar and concrete. As a matter of fact all of the "fills" were not finished on the upper east side in time for the first game (East Caroline). The students completely filled the lower section and some went on up and sat on bare concrete in the upper section - the band included. The PA announcer asked that "all student on the upper east side move down to the lower section" but there was no room so we had a good laugh.

WOW!!!! You have a really good memory. I remember being at the game and the opponent and the score, but I don't remember the upper section not being finished.
