Does CUSA have a designated "champion's bowl" where our champ is expected to go?
WKU played in Florida last year, while the runner-up, USM, went to Dallas, like we did in 2014.
If we win CUSA, we get to choose, right?

Per the CUSA Commissioner and several CUSA AD's the Champion's wishes will be STRONGLY considered (although not 100% guaranteed). After that, the bowls and geographical common sense dictate who plays where.
As I recall, 2014 Champ Marshall played in Florida, and 2015 Champ WKU played in Florida. I was paying attention to that.
I had forgotten that you usually focus on you high school team this time of year. How's that going this year?
From what I understand, the CUSA office usually attempts to give preferential treatment to the Conference Champion to decide their bowl, then the division winners. WKU and Marshall recruit heavily in Florida, so they chose Florida. Tech and SoMiss preferred Texas and the P5 opponents. It's just how it's shaken out.
That's why I asked if the champ gets to choose. Because BOTH Marshall and WKU chose to go to Florida. But, I guess getting that fact correct is considered "not paying attention."
Like I said, they have preferential treatment, but it's ultimately up to the conference office to decide. I believe the first year UAB gets to 6-6, they will have first choice of the bowls, because well, we're CUAB
And our AD won't complain even if we win the conference that year, "because that's not who we are"
Was anybody listening to Fletcher this morning?
Holtz said his preference this year would be to play in the I-Bowl!
I kinda like the 3 year rotation of Dallas, New Orleans, & Shreveport.
And if I could make a deal with the devil that we would go bowling every year, but every 3rd year we would "play down", I just might!
Wait!
No I wouldn't!
It's just freakin football!
You insane fans can hold up that deal! I just promise I won't complain if you do!
Also, if a Memphis, Little Rock, or Houston ever had a bowl tied to CUSA I would welcome those too!
I-Bowl would be awesome, IMO
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
I think heart of dallas is likely destination but the possibility to play maybe an Ole Miss sounds intriguing.
We better win on Friday and then again on December 3rd or else make your reservations to watch us play A-State again in the Big Easy, unless they get a better bowl.
