University of Houston '01. Any references to "we" or "us" likely refer to UH. Cheers!
Parialex, where is Mudfort?
Yes, NSU beat Kentucky Wesleyan, a DII school, 49-7. It was one of three games I attended at Turpin Stadium. Yeah baby!
In his remarks, made after they just finished the 2016 campaign, 1-10, Coach Jay Thomas, aware he was on a hot seat mentioned a couple of games that ended kind of close, saying "we kind of, almost, could have won those two games..." and he mentioned his win over Tech, from September, 2014, that's really three full seasons ago, as reasons for Demon fans to keep the faith and be optimistic.
Ridiculous? Yeah, but I've had two hard core NSU fans tell me....after they came down off that high of "one of our very own" being the head coach at almighty LSU!!! Why, there's a kindred spirit between the two schools now. NSU is gonna start including some puke yellow in their uniforms and their new unofficial (for now) nickname is gonna be Demon Tigers. Kind of like Wake Forest's Demon Deacons.
Oh, back to what the delusional ones said, "of course we'll keep Jay Thomas, he beats Tech, and we play Tech next!"
My first call would be to Diaz.
Leavitt would be interesting if they could sell people on the idea that he has mellowed.
But if they're looking to hire another former Florida G5 coach, Mario Chrisbal might be the way to go. It'd certainly help spice up that F_U rivalry.
Helfrich out at Oregon.
Think he'll pull a Bobby Petrino and leave a note in the 49ers' player's lockers on Monday like Petrino did with the Falcons. At least Kelly would have a template:
"Atlanta Falcons Players," it began.
"Out of my respect for you, I am letting you know that, with a heavy heart, I resigned today as the Head Coach of the Atlanta Falcons. This decision was not easy, but it was made in the best interest of me and my family. While my desire would have been to finish out what has been a difficult season for us all, circumstances did not allow me to do that. I appreciate your hard work and wish you the best.
"Sincerely, Bobby Petrino.
