We would have won by more, but the refs were horrible. There was definitely some favoritism in the 4th quarter, as the Cowgirls were getting away with mauling us....... We were called on a lot of no-calls and even got a technical. Malcolm was in disbelief at times. Our defense was great, though, as McNeese was averaging in the 80's in points before playing us.
Not just college basketball....basketball in general, at all levels. Of course it's sometimes hard, as a coach, to overcome that "me first" attitude where players want to light up their personal stats and be the leading scorer. But, if a coach can get a team to think "team first," to understand that who happened to touch the ball last before it went through the hoop is irrelevant. That it is the team score that matters....not individual numbers, well then that will be a winning team.

A thought overlooked by too many coaches and fans now days from childhood sports all the way to the pros
Good job Techsters! Glad to see Cleaver getting more involved in the game, we have been stymied in recent years from the lack of a dominit post player!LeBlanc maybe more valuable to the team as a true small forward with her strength and quickness in the paint!
