Last night was the first night we struggled with turnovers at home - it appears Jean is having problems adapting to his new role
Boykins is a shooter and has a chance to have a special year
Bracey is 10 games into his freshman year is going to be real good already has 56 assists and only 14 turnovers (even taking into the last two games were he struggled...)
Joniah is getting his legs under him finally and effects more shots than most realize and is assuming the role of the team leader
Cut the turnovers in half and we win that game by 30
Harris has a chance to be special - first true scorer since Henderson and he put the game away last night and he is a freshman
We run good offensive sets - they were sloppy possessing the ball last night - that happens
The USL game didn't bother me (didn't expect to win down there, could have been beat by 30 but they fought back and came damn close to pulling it out) - I firmly believe that if Cree doesn't have the turn-over in the last minute after we cut it to 3 we win - no TECH head coach has consistently won in Lafayette, if that game is in Ruston we win by double digits (some of y'all might want to re-check White's record against the Cajuns)
This team will win 22-24 games and we a have a very talented roster for the long haul

We are currently 6-4. Will win next 2/3 and head into conference 8-5. Don't see this team winning but 50-60% of conference games. So I don't see us getting to 20 wins. Perhaps 18-19. No consistent identity on offense and still very young off the bench. Didn't see last nights game but the games I have watched I thought we were very average offensively but improving defensively. We will need to really generate some offense from turnovers, much like under the MW era if we are going to push to be at the top of the conference.
Man, I love reading your basketball thoughts. Please keep this up.
I'm not very basketball literate and have a hard time understanding the plays they are running and the strategies they are using, even while I'm watching it.
So, all you basketball nuts, more Tech basketball reviews and technical talk, please!
Basketball is a different animal than football -
It's SO HARD to win on the road against ANYONE -
We were down 20 pts at the 10 min mark in the first half and there is a good argument we should of won the ballgame if McCree doesn't have the huge turnover at the end
I watch a TON of basketball from the high school and college level every year and to compare Konkol right now to Rupp is laughable (Rupp should of never been hired, regardless of what Karl wanted) -
Are we world beaters? NO
Are we as bad as some want to suggest? NO WAY
Much like Skip - Konkol has recruited very well on the high school level, with a VERY HIGH level of talent

Here's how our conference strength stacks up over the last 6 years.
All 4 of White's teams played in a tougher conference than Konkol.
Year Conference (Coach) KP Conf Rating 2011-12 WAC (White) +0.64 2012-13 WAC (White) -0.32 2014-15 C-USA (White) -1.52 2013-14 C-USA (White) -1.58 2016-17 C-USA (Konkol) *-2.02 2015-16 C-USA (Konkol) -4.13
But since we can't play ourselves and we play unbalanced conference schedules, we should probably look at Tech's conference SOS to judge the strength of the conference slates we actually played.
Year Conference (Coach) LT Conf SOS 2011-12 WAC (White) +0.47 2012-13 WAC (White) -2.17 2014-15 C-USA (White) -2.80 2013-14 C-USA (White) -3.84 2016-17 C-USA (Konkol) TBD 2015-16 C-USA (Konkol) -7.49
Again, Konkol's conference slate is much weaker than White's. We don't know this year's conference SOS, but it should be stronger than last year but still weaker than White's weakest slate.
PD hates Holtz and D06 hates Konkol. Does anybody hate Stanley???
