All 4 of White's teams played in a tougher conference than Konkol.

PD doesn't hate HCSH. He holds him accountable for horrible special teams. PD remembers and points out when HCSH claims to be in charge of both offense and defense. PD is not willing to blame all our defensive problems on the DC nor all the offensive problems on the OC. PD has said many great things about HCSH, but PD will not blindly kiss his ass like many here do.

Basketball is a different animal than football -

It's SO HARD to win on the road against ANYONE -

We were down 20 pts at the 10 min mark in the first half and there is a good argument we should of won the ballgame if McCree doesn't have the huge turnover at the end

I watch a TON of basketball from the high school and college level every year and to compare Konkol right now to Rupp is laughable (Rupp should of never been hired, regardless of what Karl wanted) -

Are we world beaters? NO

Are we as bad as some want to suggest? NO WAY

Much like Skip - Konkol has recruited very well on the high school level, with a VERY HIGH level of talent

The world is full of ex-coaches who recruited well, but just couldn't coach the X's and O's. I sure hope this doesn't describe Konkol.

It's still early, so I'll wait to judge Konkol based on his performances in January, February and March. But so far, he's not convincing me that he's knows what he's doing once the ball tips off.

BD doesn't remember when HCSH said he's running the defense (as he does the offense). Can PD help BD recall those comments? Of course HCSH is in charge of the team. BD and PD are on the same page there.

...earlier in the year ( I think it was just after the TT game or the Middle game) when asked about our defensive woes, he assured the interviewer that he was also a defensive coach and had things under control. All a person has to do is watch him on the sidelines when the defense is on the field. He is calling the coverage.

You mean he is actually making the call or conferring with others regarding what the opposing offense is doing? I don't think he's calling the coverage.

I have no doubt he calls in certain situations. I do give him credit for taking ownership though. He does the same with special teams.

You are right. It's all on the DC. That's why he got the big raise. Who gave him the raise again? Oh yeah, the C-USA COY HCSH.

If you watch the MBB team is there any indication they are being coached or that we have any sort of game plan?

Back to this, it is misnomer to assert that Rupp didn't coach his players or have a specific game plan. If anything, he over-coached them. The guy was extremely well-versed on the technical aspects of basketball. The problem was that most of the players didn't know what he was talking about half the time.
