Bob Davie will get his first-ever bowl win as a HC. Was 0-3 at Notre Dame and 0-1 at UNM. Second bowl win for UNM since 1962.
Of course, as I type this, the game ain't over yet.
With that on side kick recovery it is over.
23-20 UNM. Good game by UTSA. They hung tough and missed some 1st half chances that came back to bite 'em.
Now, it's Houston 10 SD State 6 3rd qtr in Vegas Bowl.
Agreed I think Wilson has them moving in the right direction.
I thought UTSA played a pretty good game, especially on defense. Sturm was not good passing the ball, maybe because of the wind. I think they should have tried more very short passes, maybe more to the RB or TE. The WR screen that Tech runs should have worked in this game. I thought their play calling was poor. Sturm had no time to throw the ball yet they had him constantly standing in the pocket, trying to throw downfield.
San Diego State is throwing a monkey wrench into my pick'em picks.
I think we're going to find out that the AAC was not nearly as good as the national media made them out to be.
You could be right. This was a tough game to pick.
