Trent is awesome. Just an amazing player and person. So glad he came to Tech. He is the kind of player that leaves the University better than he found it. Just been great watching him play and his incredible ability. Its awesome we get so many great people come to Tech.

I did not know about this. This is BIG:

Taylor will put a bow on a record-setting career Friday in the Armed Forces Bowl against Navy. He's already sixth on the NCAA's all-time receptions list, and with eight more catches Friday—he averages 9.5 per game on the season—he'd move into third. He's 17th all-time in receiving yards, and his yearly average (120.8) would move him into 14th.
Wow! 3rd all time in receptions in the entire NCAA.

I also didn't realize that Taylor was a "Sonny Dykes" commit/recruit, and Holtz just stuck to it. Looks like Dykes left us a little better off than some fans (namely PD) thought.

Glad to see we have TWO WR in the top 20 (vs. Nebraska [National Champs/Big12] & Toledo(MAC)). One of among 4 programs (Tech, Nevada, Houston, & Tulsa).

Houston did both against Rice (2007 & 2011), and Nevada did both against San Jose St (1995 & 2001). Both in conference.

However, you might want to fact-check the Tulsa players:

Rick Eber, Tulsa (Idaho St.), Oct. 7, 1967, 318
Harry Wood, Tulsa (Idaho St.), Oct. 7, 1967, 318

Mr. Eber and Mr. Harry Wood (I see a Champ post) supposedly each had exactly 318 yards receiving in the same game. Did they even throw for more than 600 yards in the 1960s?

No....I think that stat is correct, because everyone remembers that Harry Wood was dating Anita Moorehead at the time.
