    I think more comes next season, the schedule looks like it could be very favorable. Lots of home games and the Power 5 games should be very winnable. Absolutely no excuse the CUSA championship game should be in Ruston, therefore very winnable! With good QB play and a decent defense (I know this is the question) we would be in the access bowl conversation. Lots of things have to line up for magical season, but I think it wil finally be our time next season, I for one cannot wait!

    Hope you're right.

    I think J. Smith can handle the QB duties well. Probably a little different look, with more read-option and Smith running more than Higgins. But still, a potent offense. Defense needs to step up. Can't continue to be that horrible and expect to achieve great things.
