Sure hope that Brook decides to put some experience on the floor for this game, either way it's probably not going to be pretty!
Just the same, got to root on the Techsters!

We have a chance to pull it out. Can't get in a hole early and expect to come back, even though we have come close to doing just that in most of our games. We have no blow-out losses - every game has been close. We just have to get over that hump of not winning the close ones. GO TECHSTERS!

Hi BlindDog buddy. I've got a date with Mrs. Russdawg Friday night. Drive to Ruston, supper out before the game, CHEER ON THE LADY TECHSTERS, drive to Jonesboro to check out the Christmas lights. A Techster WIN would make it a perfect evening.

    GAME DAY in the TAC.

Conference play starts, a chance for a new beginning, to move towards an winning record and maybe some kind of post season play. Gotta start TONIGHT. Four seasons in a row we've opened conference play with a loss to USM. Last year we won the follow up game 72-37 in Ruston in late January, peak of the year as the rest of the season spiralled downwards to disaster. Last year USM brought a bus to bring fans to the game. They like beating us.

    LET'S GET THIS STARTED!! WIN!!

Brooke S. is here to build a program. I wanna win as much as anyone, and beating USM would be particularly nice, but Brooke is not focusing on USM. They just happen to be the next team on the schedule. Brooke is more concerned about her players and their development. And that means they had better do it her way, and in the manner (on and off the court) she expects.

When she went to NSU she inherited a young and talented team. The previous coach, Jennifer Graff, who happens to be a good friend, had recruited well and taught sound fundamentals. Don't know what happened and what led to Graff's departure. Don't want to go there. I do know that the Lady Demons were a talented, but disorganized bunch. Under Brooke that "bunch" became a "team" and two trips to the Big Dance was the reward. It was not without its growing pains, though. Much like Coach Norman Dale in "Hoosiers" Brooke aggravated some of the diehard Lady Demon fans with her emphasis on discipline and doing it "my way." Benching stars, and then losing a game, tends to bring out the ire in fans. No one complained when they Danced twice, with those same benched stars leading the way in March.

I am all for this and want to really rebuild this program - not for a good win here and there. People will be thankful, when we are winning conference championships again.

Wonder if Brooke gets out the weight vests and practices with no basketballs like wonder boy did?? That lead us to our first two losing seasons in program history.

Weight vest was a good idea i have used that on the high school level since back in the early 90s when i was coaching in Memphis, either they can compete with it and complete the task or they dont need to play.

That is a good idea for any coaches those that go hard are the ones with the heart to keep going

May be a great conditioning tool, I actually think its an outstanding conditioning tool, but when you're coaching a mediocre at best basketball team, then you need to have basketballs out at practice every single day.

A coach isn't really that much different from a player...
Either you got it or you don't!
I.EOur defense was horrible in 2013, . Coach Deiz the DC for the Bulldogs came im and made our Defense look great! Baker comes in and the same players stink up the joint!
Good Coaches find a way to WIN with the talent they have!
