Who is going to step up now that Taylor is graduating???

When Hunter Lee graduated, Trent Taylor more than stepped up....he became a hell of a player in his own right!! Now that Trent has graduated, who will step up and fill his shoes??? Trent had a lot of heart, so he is going to have some big shoes to fill!!!!!

I like the way Tarzan played toward the end of the year. McKnight is also capable. Not sure who will, but plenty of guys have the skill set to play at or above what TT did.

Is anyone else excited about our d line next year?? Canty is as good and bigger than IK.. jaylon will be a beast. Bradford, Johnson, Wallace, garner, mason, Davenport in the middle..kendzior, Emmanuel turner, ydarraga on the outside. Almost forgot throw willie baker in there

Trent Taylor is like Quinten Patton. More than just talent, they have heart! and are team leaders. We need someone to step up as a leader on offense next year.

I see us spreading it around more. Trent can spoil a QB because he was guaranteed to get open 95% of the time. Not sure we have a replacement for him that can do that, but I think J'Mar is better than Ryan in reading a defense and finding the open guy if the primary is covered. There have been subtle changes in every offense we've had under Holtz. He builds it to accentuate the strengths of the personnel. The strength next year will be several different weapons at receiver, imo.

Has Gaines had injury issues? I see very encouraging flashes, but he hasn't seemed to put it all together yet. I'd love to see that this year.

My sleeper is Marlon Watts. I think he and Bonnette will shine with increased touches.

I agree. Those type are kind of rare. In my approximately 50 years of Tech football fandom (beginning in 1973) I would name the following as being in that class. I am sure I am going to miss some, so y'all please add them in.

Pat Tilley, Billy Ryckman, Rod Foppe, Bobby Slaughter, Delwyn Daigre, Chad Mackey, Troy Edwards, Sean Cangelosi, Hunter Lee, Trent Taylor...
