It's going to be difficult to hold onto Sloan. Rattay also did a fine job. Both guys earned a raise imo....

Except that we had two very recent games in which we rushed for 8 yards and 5 yards respectively- we lost both games. The RB coach has to get our players to perform better than this.Originally Posted by boxerdog
Run blocking contributed to this as well. Being tackled 2 yards deep in your own backfield will kill #'s.

....a double-edged sword here, folks. Add Tim Terrific to these three. There will be plenty of shoppers for good assistants this off season, and with such publicity, we could be vulnerable to losing some or all of them.
Sloan has received big raises the last 2 seasons (doubled his salary), and he's been with Holtz ever since he stepped foot in college (12 years). I think it would take one heck of an offer to pry Sloan away from Skip.

Joe and Tim seem to be very tight. I agree with Dawg06 about Joe and I think it would have to be an extremely good offer for Tim to leave LTU.
Joe loves Ruston. He's such a cool guy. Hope he stays long enough to be HC one day
He is an excellent recruiter, I've seen it firsthand. Goes above and beyond!
