This UTEP team is the worst team Holtz has played since coming to Ruston. UTSA is probably slightly less talented than we are, but we have SUCKED at home this year. It could be argued that we’ve sucked on the road too, but that’s a whole lot more common.

I hope we win the last two and get lucky enough to go bowling, hopefully against a name team. Judging by what I've seen this year, I don't think we win the last one against UTSA, but I didn't think we'd beat WKU either. Lets just beat UTEP first and see what happens.

Even if LA Tech wins the last 2 games and makes it to a bowl game, the Bulldogs are still not a fun team to watch this year. The guy below is having more fun than people attending Tech games this year:

What's ironic is that Tech has LOST its way into the I-Bowl. From now on, the I-Bowl will never get a champion caliber Tech team. There are better bowls for those Tech teams to attend. It can only hope to get Tech in one of Tech's down years.

Unfortunately this guy looks like the majority of the fans I've sat around the last 4 years regardless of how well the team is doing or how exciting the product is. In fact, a large portion of them get irritated if you even attempt to act like you are at a football game. I'd rather sit on the top row of the stadium and feel free to act like I'm at a real college football game.

Finding a way to beat UTEP and UTSA and stumbling into the independence bowl would go a long way to washing some of the bad taste out of fans mouth for this year. Still a tough road ahead.

Just saying I'm seeing a whole lot of people saying how much the Indy Bowl is going to suck...which is true...but there's a vanishingly small chance we will be in it.

I posted from the beginning the Independence Bowl would be our most likely bowl game this year. Whether we went 10-2 or 6-6, the Indy Bowl was always our destiny this season.

BTW Indy Bowl reps have been at our last couple home games.
