Reflection and riding: Tyler takes part in national Back the Blue event
By JOHN ANDERSON janderson@tylerpaper.com Aug 8, 2020 Updated Aug 8, 2020
Dwayne Stanton stood on the Smith County Courthouse steps Saturday at noon and asked a group of close to 50 motorcycle riders and onlookers to pray before a Back the Blue ride.
Not everyone knew what was going through Stanton’s mind during his silence as he bowed his head. Stanton’s wife is a police officer.
“I see the stress that she goes through everyday,” he said, getting on his motorcycle on South Broadway in Tyler. “Not knowing if someone is going to take a shot at her from across the street just because she’s a police officer. I never worried so much before when she would leave for work. Now, I worry every single day and it’s stressful for all of us.”
Across the nation, a Back the Blue ride took place at noon, organized by the Micro Dot Helmet Company in Fort Worth.
Stanton asked for prayers for all employees and volunteers who work in emergency services. He asked everyone to pray for elected politicians to make sound decisions. His message was not political, there were no weapons displayed and the motorcycles flew the American Flag.
“This was a great, respectful and spiritual event,” he said of the ceremony. “We all came together and had the same frame of mind, we need to pray for, and give support, to police officers.”
As for President Trump and other elected officials, he said, “They are human, too. They are just trying to do their job. There’s no position here, we are just a group of friendly bikers who like to ride, it’s a hobby.”

Yes Biden’s new VP pick Kamala Harris must love violence inflicted on the innocent ( obviously against police as we know already), even of the sexual kind.
Re: Joe Biden Gaffes
Biden’s VP choice of Harris is such a bad gaffe on so many levels. Then again, why would she care about sexual abuse of children since she believes in killing babies to begin with?
Peter Schweizer: Kamala Harris Refused to Prosecute Priests’ Sexual Abuse After Church’s Lawyers Funded Her Campaign
Peter Schweizer, author of Profiles in Corruption: Abuse of Power by America’s Progressive Elite and president of the Government Accountability Institute, discussed with host Alex Marlow of Sirius XM’s Breitbart News Daily on Thursday that Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), while San Francisco’s district attorney (DA), refused to prosecute cases of priests’ sexual abuse.
Harris was the only DA among those from the top 50 metropolitan cities not to lay charges against clergy for sexual abuse, said Schweizer, reflecting on Harris’s tenure as the San Francisco DA between 2004 and 2011.
Schweizer stated, “The numbers are pretty stunning. From 2004 to 2011, Kamala Harris was the San Francisco [district attorney] responsible for all prosecutions and the prosecution team in the San Francisco area. Between 2004 and 2011, she did not prosecute a single case of priests’ sexual abuse–period.”
Schweizer continued, “To put that in the context of how stunning that is, if you look at the top 50 metropolitan areas in the United States at that time, all 50 prosecuted at least one case, the sole exception being Kamala Harris in San Francisco.”
Victims’ rights groups criticized Harris’s suppression of the documents detailing allegations of sexual abuse against priests, Schweizer noted.
“The victims’ rights groups snapped,” Schweizer remarked. “Some of the other groups went absolutely ballistic, and you can understand why. Kamala Harris claimed that she sealed those records to protect victims. The victims call that outrageous and wrong. They used language that I couldn’t use on radio.”
Schweizer determined, “The bottom line is [Harris] has a terrible, atrocious record on this specific issue, and it’s a little bit baffling because she proclaims to be somebody who’s a victim’s advocate, but she has this horrible record of covering up and failing to prosecute these crimes.”

On FSN tonight on Laura Ingraham they showed a 5 year old white kid that was shot at close range by a black thug. He killed him in front of his 2 sisters. Looks like BLM is having some effect on some people. This happened in North Carolina.
looks as if the regressive Dems running Austin, Texas want in on some of this type evil violence of their party on the east and west coast.

Remember when Bill Clinton provided for MORE cops on the street. Wow, the Democrap Party has completely gone over the cliff.
Doesn't matter what Biden thinks or says.. He is not in control.. You and I have both seen many democratic leaders voicing their support for "Police Reform". Many national leaders have remained silent when Cities such as Portland, Chicago, New York, Austin, Seattle, Minneapolis vote to defund police departments. Not one Democratic Senator denounced Antifa and the violence in Portland when given the opportunity. Nadler even said that those riots were not even happening..
No it's not. I'm not a professional, I don't know what's going on in his head. I know he's 78 (I've addressed the fact that I think he and Trump shouldn't be able to run because of their age). I also know that the guy he's running against says crazy stuff all the time. His fans write it off as his style or some other non-sense. He literally bragged on national TV about being able to remember 5 words.
You sure you're putting the same scrutiny to Trump as you are to Biden?

Oregon State Police pulling out of Portland due to lack of prosecutions
On Weds, Portland's DA dropped charges against hundreds who had been arrested, many for felonies, because they have a "right to speak."
Weds night a trooper suffered a concussion after being hit by a rock while wearing a riot helmet.
Thursday the State Police announced they're done.quote:
"at this time weare inclined to move those resources back to counties where prosecution of criminal conduct is still a priority,” Capt. Timothy R. Fox told area television stations
Looking forward to a very peaceful weekend this weekend in Portland without all of the LEO to force people to vandalize, loot, set fires to buildings.
