But, the point is this: his mother was sitting in a rocking chair near the fire, a nice blanket over her, and nearby was a Colt .45 six-shooter, in a holster, with bullets on the belt. I asked about it, was it vintage? His mother says, no, just bought it this year, have never had a gun in my house before, oh except for antique firearms, collectors' items. She says, I bought it to "bust some of those Antifa assholes, if it came down to it." Then my friend laughs and asks his mother if he could show me what else she had. It's a brand new Henry lever-action rifle in .44 magnum. That beast is heavy and kicks on both ends. I hesitated, but did ask if this frail-looking grandmother could handle that rifle? They both grinned, oh yes, been out to the shooting range at Grand Ecore, she can handle it very well!
"bust some of those Antifa assholes," she said. I just shook my head, and said, "glad you're on our side."
