Salty, Rush made the point that the KKK and such organizations have no political power. They really don't....not nationally anyway. Maybe the KKK is concentrated enough in some areas to elect a school board member or local dog catcher, but not to affect national policy-making. In fact, we all know, if the KKK endorses a candidate even if that candidate disavows the endorsement, that damages that candidate's political chances.
But, on the left, at least so far, connections to radical groups has no impact on a leftist candidate's political standing.
