And as much as I disagree with them, I support their right to peaceful demonstrations, events, and marches. I don't support anyone's "right" for violence.
In Charlottesville the extremist right-wing groups had a parade permit, and the police had already issued instructions on where their march could go, and couldn't. There were two separate "groups." Actually, each "group" was composed of various organizations. The extremists had the KKK, neo-Nazis, and the alt-right had organizations who seek only political solutions to problems. I have already posted I question the reasoning of the alt-right leadership even trying to reach out to the extremists. I understand they were attempting to bring those extremists into the fold. To convince them to stop the hate, stop engaging in racist rhetoric, and instead use the power of the voting booth. It was a fool's mission.
But, the truth is, while these two groups of right-wingers were engaged in back and forth discussions, and some shouting at each other, they were attacked by leftists. Leftist groups who did not have a parade permit from the city, no permission to gather and take over public streets, showed up and the violence began. Of course the right-wing extremists retaliated. And that one idiot used his car as a weapon. But ALL OF THAT occurred in response to being attacked by the leftists.
When I was in Rome a few years back, the Communist Party was holding a rally in a public square. It was peaceful, and lightly attended. Mostly locals and tourists ignored them. It was warm that day and we had been walking MILES around Rome, and the commies were handing out bottled water. So, I go over there and some young woman, dressed in army fatigues, spoke English, so I take the water and start speaking with her. She said, we need you Americans to join us. She went on about wanting to help "the workers," blah, blah, blah, all the stupid commie bullchit that is simply not true. I pretended to be interested, so she hands me pamphlets, written in Italian... I get three more bottles of water, for my wife and the couple we were with, wish her "good luck" and leave. We lunched at a café on the square and watched that commie rally from a distance. Never more than a handful of people even stopped to talk to them, and many people refused the water when offered.
I wish that were true. But I fear they are very powerful behind the scenes in a very large way much like the pro Sharia law Islamics, pure anti-American anarchist, socialist and PC types. Oh wait, that describes the media in this country.

Berkeley Police released mugshots Tuesday of 11 of the 13 persons arrested at Sunday’s violent political riots in the California university town.
Charges include assault with a deadly weapon, felony assault and various municipal code violations.
The rallies Sunday saw approximately 4,000 “antifa” agitators and other leftists shut down a “No to Marxism” rally and prayer vigil being held by about 400 conservative Christians. The leftists took over Martin Luther King Jr. Park near the University of California Berkeley campus and beat several of the anti-Marxist protesters.
One officer was injured while making an arrest, and several others were struck with paint and bottles.
The San Francisco Chronicle, which had reporters on the scene Sunday, referred to the antifa crowd as anarchists:“The masked counterprotesters, often referred to as antifa or antifascists, significantly outnumbered the people who had come for the rally, many of whom wore red clothing indicating support for President Trump. The anarchists chased away the right-wingers, and in one case four or five pummeled a man with fists and sticks before a radio host for Reveal, Al Letson, jumped in to shield the victim. Anarchists also attacked reporters who documented their actions.”The average age of the 13 people arrested is 30.
Clare Lopez, vice president of research and analysis for the Center for Security Policy, said the mugshots reveal that the people behind the antifa masks were mostly professional agitators, not local college students.
“With an average age of 30, those arrested during the violent Berkeley riots of Sunday 27 August do not fit the profile of the average college undergrad,” Lopez told WND.

I have come into a box of old newspapers. Was browsing thru some of them and found a front page with articles about the US's entry into WWII. Hitler and Mussolini made proclamations declaring war on the US. Mussolini said: Facist Italy is proud to join national-socialist Germany, and imperialist Japan in declaring war...
I find it curious that he referred to his own government as "facist" but Hitler's Germany as "socialist." Actually, it doesn't.
If law enforcement ever loses its ability to control these Antifa freaks, conservatives will defend themselves and it will get very ugly, very quickly for the Antifa crowd.

What would 10% look like today....there are about 80 million males between the ages of 16 and 60. If only those picked up arms and fought in a "civil war"....can you imagine 8 million killed and wounded. But you know women would be involved too, and then add in collateral damages/losses. This is why it is so important to not forget our history. Only a fool....a stark-raving lunatic! would hope for a "civil war."
Still...if the violent left thinks it can continue to engage in open violence against conservatives and there won't be some kind of retaliation, they are in for a rude awakening.
