Haha!! He was saying helmets are added weight and are thrown around like weapons, only to provide more contact for the brain. The helmet works sometimes, but a concussion is when the brain strikes the cranial wall and bruises.. that can still easily happen with a helmet on.. we see it all the time.
Also it was brought up that changing helmets 7 times in a season increase concussions. Wearing the same helmet all year is healthier for the brain than putting in a new helmet every week.
I support almost any theory on making the game safer. No way could they ever convince people no helmets is safer, but little things matter.
