    Real Science making a comeback!

Remember that crap that humans share 99% DNA with chimps? Been debunked! It was just more junk science, meant to advance a political agenda. Much like the man-made global warming hoax.

Report says humans share 92% DNA with chimps. Not a big deal, ya say, 92% vs. 99%. Well, we share 90% DNA with cats!

And, if you look at the hemoglobin molecule (our blood) in comparison to the chlorophyll molecule (green plants) they share 99.9999% of the same structure and C-H bonds. The only difference is a single atom at the center of each molecule. Iron (Fe) for our blood, and Magnesium (Mg) for chlorophyll.

Wow! 99.9999%...we must be descended from plants!

Ok. Kind of what I figured. Good to see that things haven't changed around here.

Serious question......if evolution is true, why don't we have current day documentation of it occurring? Why haven't scientist set out to follow apes or another species over generations in order to prove evolution? If it occurred before, shouldn't it still be occurring somewhere?

And if you use Evolution and adaptation to mean the same thing, then yes, I agree. A dog developing a thicker coat to adapt to a colder environment is perfectly believable. When the dog turns into a horse, call me.

You are talking about something other than evolution.

That's the point. I hear scientist use adaptation and evolution interchangeably these days. Bird to fish or ape to human is laughable. A species developing a coping mechanism for a wetter, dryer, colder, or hotter climate is believable. Do you use the terms interchangeably or are they 2 different things?

Evolution is not science-fiction shape shifting like you were describing. It is usually a slow moving process where mutations and adaptions build over a long enough period of time that the cumulative result is sometimes (but not always) speciation. It is a fact, Jack, and not fact that it happens is not a subject of debate in the scientific community because the evidence is overwhelming.
