After losing 12 straight games, UTEP (8-14, 6-4 C-USA) has turned a corner and won six of its last seven games to help put itself in fifth in the league standings. The last three victories have been the most impressive, winning at Marshall, defeating UAB and then handing league-leader Middle Tennessee their first conference loss.

So, how does UTEP start the season 2-13, and now they've won 6 of their last 7 games, including HUGE wins over conference leaders MTSU and UAB? None of this makes any sense.

In this last 7-game stretch, UTEP's only loss was by 3 points, on the road at WKU.

They lost a lot of players since last year, including 2 during the season. Their center, Wilms was hurt for quite a while. Wilms is back and playing well and the team appears to have gelled. They have a really good pair of guards and play very good defense. I watched the end of the Middle game last week. UTEP came back fro 17 down by basically holding Middle scoreless for the last 15 minutes of the game.

This is going to be a tough one! It would be great to steal one on the road against UTEP, with the way they have been playing.

That is what I do. I have a monthly subscription and catch all Tech sports, unless they are on tv or ESPN3. I just hook my laptop up to my tv and watch it on the big screen.
