Brooke announced during one of the Inside Tech Basketball shows in January that Allen will not be continuing with the team. I did not catch the first 10 minutes of the show and only caught the end of her statement. I did not get the reason. Brooke ended by saying that Allen has her degree from Texas A&M and that the team wished her well. Sorry, I don't have more information. Maybe someone else listened to that show.

I have said all along: judge this team in March. We are starting to see some consistency game to game. That's a sign of coaching. This team will peak, be at its best, come March. The players will over-achieve, be the best they can be. And, we will all be proud of 'em.

20 GAMES! That's how many wins I want this Lady Techster team to win THIS season. A 20-win season has long been the hallmark of a great basketball season. I think they can do it. They are getting hot at the RIGHT TIME, which is really what college basketball is all about.

Someone please tell me.....can the LATE FEBRUARY Lady Techsters run the table above and keep their hope of 20 wins alive? I think they can. They've already beaten 3 of these last 4 teams on their schedule this season, and the only team they haven't played --FIU-- has lost 8 of their last 9 games.

Getting to 18 wins appears very doable to me. I don't want to hear about the December Lady Techsters, or the January Lady Techsters......I'm asking if the LATE FEBRUARY Lady Techsters can do this.

I believe it is VERY possible! Southern Miss will be a huge test, if we get the other wins. They are playing much better than when we beat them, as well, and they will play well on their home court. That will be the show down.

For just the standings, they go by conference W/L record, then overall W/L record. USM has a better overall record than we do. For seeding, though, they will use head to head as the tie breaker.

ODU plays at Charlotte today. If ODU wins, it will basically create a 5 way tie for 3rd place (ODU will be one half game behind, though). We have the tie breaker over Charlotte and have beaten USM once, but have to play them again. FIU nearly knocked USM off last night - that would have been nice, if FIU could have pulled out. That was a double OT win for USM.

North Texas and Rice are playing pretty good right now and they are up next for us. Glad those are on our home court! One game at a time. I still believe we finish third in the standings and with a 3 seed, if we win the next 3.

WKU should beat Charlotte on Thursday night at WKU and ODU has WKU at WKU on Saturday.

One game at a time and need to beat North Texas at the TAC on Thursday!!!!!!!!

It would be nice if Rice or North Texas could pull off an upset against USM at USM this week, but not absolutely necessary for us to still get to 3rd place. Basically, we win out and we are a 3 seed, if Charlotte can lose one more game. I am betting on WKU to beat them Thursday.

It would take a LOT for MTSU to drop down now. I think they have 2nd place tied up in a bow, unless WKU drops a couple. WKU has the tie-breaker over them having beaten them twice. USM is the only other team to beat them. All they have left is UAB at home and the FU's on the road.

WKU lost at Charlotte earlier this year in OT and a strange one by 3 points at UTSA. Here is how I see the final standings, if we are able to win out, (an educated guess, but anything can happen):
