It seemed like déjà vu for Louisiana Tech on Saturday evening when playing UTSA.

I've made all but one home game and would say we have greatly improved our game. We are way better in the paint on offense and defense and we are much more effective driving the basket. And we are better overall at flat out getting after opponents when we're on defense.
Let's place this in perspective -
In our first three years in the conference we had one road sweep
This year we have 2...

The main problem I see is that short of winning the conference regular season (auto NIT bid) or winning the c-UAB tournament, Tech has no shot in making real postseason play.
Pay for play tournaments are dumb.
The schedule makers didn't set up our season to succeed. Sweeping the swac is not a plan for success going forward.
This makes for a meaningless "season" of basketball sans for making sure you are opposite bracket from MTSU, UAB, and/or UTEP.
I was at the game Saturday for my first time seeing the Dawgs live. 2/3 refs were pretty good but there was one guy who was downright atrocious.
Sherman and Boykins body language is not something I like to see. Sherman has the ability to take over games as he set the tone out of the gate Saturday with two big defensive plays, but mentally checked himself out due to poor officiating or other perceived wrong doing. Boykins is leading the conference in steals and brings the effort you want from a veteran leader, but the continual chatter has to be distracting to the young guys.
Jalen Harris was much more athletic live than I could gather from internet feeds, and has a smooth demeanor. Pemberton on the bench sure looks the part, and even when injured stays engaged in the game. He's taller than Cobi and just looks like a player.
I get this argument and have thought like this in the past, but it's just so much better if you can just enjoy the team and each game as a single experience.
Live in the now! Doesn't anything in life outside the most important (faith,
Family ect) have the ability to be belittled to a status of little or no importance?
There are 14 institutions fighting for the top spot and we have been right there every year. Go Dawgs!
