    Appleby was "feast or famine." Had some gawd-awful shooting nights. But, overall, a good player. Very athletic.

    Interestingly, the guy (George Fant for WKU) who Appleby posterized is now a starting OL for the Seattle Seahawks. Fant had really never played football until after his basketball career at WKU was over...and somehow got drafted and is now an NFL starter.
