2/22 UALR @ 6pm (Rescheduled)

I remember last year we called them UALR but now we're calling them Little Rock, so I looked it up. Apparently they officially changed their branding from "Arkansas-Little Rock" to just "Little Rock." So from an athletic branding standpoint, the "proper" name is now just "Little Rock."

Now, that obviously doesn't mean people in LR are gonna stop calling them UALR, and I'm not gonna correct anyone if they say UALR. But apparently they felt it would be a better look to just be Little Rock as opposed to what essentially equates to "directional Arkansas."

Ive been scolded by no less than the mayor of Little Rock for saying "Yooler" in public.

It's going to take a long time for that branding to stick. I noticed when they started making this change, and it makes sense I guess. But just like Memphis State and Southwest Missouri State and all those other schools (most of whom actually changed their name) it's going to take a long time to work locally.

It'd be hard for me to not call them Yooler. But I think the students here at UTA probably already call them "Little Rock" (if they call them anything).

1-0 Tech after 5 innings. We aren't helping our pitchers at all by swinging at so many ugly pitches. It's like we're just lazily "going through the motions" batting.

Through 7 innings Tech trails 1-2. UALR hit a 2-run homerun. We've struck out 11 times vs a pitcher making his first start of the year (didn't pitch any of the 3 games UALR has lost).
