not necessarily saying he's gonna be a 1st round pick but the size debate isn't valid. just look at brandin cooks for the saints, he's small but a playmaker (like henderson). I do think his injury history will cause a slight drop though but hoping the best for him and TT to end up on teams that will actually utilize them correctly

There's no way for us to actually know that until after the Combine. If he runs well, he will shoot up the draft rankings. If he runs poorly, he will drop.

This is simply not true anymore. The first WR drafted last year, Corey Coleman, is 5-11. The second, Will Fuller, is 6-0. Sterling Shepard, who went early in the second round, is 5-10. Three of the top five WRs drafted last year were not the "prototype" receiver you describe. Sure, Julio Jones is awesome. But Antonio Brown is 5-10, and he might be the best WR in the NFL. Odell Beckham is only 5-11. For every Dez Bryant, there's a stud WR who is under 6 feet tall.

Maybe they are starting to figure out they were putting too much emphasis on height.

I had similar discussions with Kenneth Dixon fans a couple of years ago. Many Tech fans insisted that KD would be a 2nd or 3rd round pick. I said no way. And he wasn't. In his case, it was mostly due to the fact that the NFL puts a low premium on RB's these days.

For the record, just because I tell the truth about these athletes' NFL prospects, it doesn't mean that I don't like them. I'm a Tech fan too, and I like Henderson very much. But the fact is, most NFL teams typically demand a "prototype" 6'5" WR frame and body build/size in exchange for their 1st and 2nd round money. Since Henderson is only 5'10, he doesn't fit the prototype. Because of this, most teams will gamble that he'll still be available in the later rounds. Also, as someone else mentioned, the NFL will also look very closely at Henderson's nagging injury history.

I'll be VERY happy to see Henderson go in the 3rd, 4th or 5th round. If he goes to the right team, I believe he can have a great NFL career.

Antonio Brown is a GREAT example. Brown was drafted in the 6th round, the 195th player taken in his draft. 21 WR's were drafted before Brown.

Posts like the one above amuse me. It's as if that poster has no idea that everybody in the draft will look like a superhero.

I think he goes in the 3rd round, but is lucky enough to land on a decent team in need of that 2nd or 3rd threat and needed it cheaper than 1st/2nd round or buying in free agency.

IMHO LA Tech Alum don't seem very lucky in landing on teams that need their particular talents. They seem to me to be under utilized.

I wish CH had come back for his senior year. I think he would have set college football on fire! Much like the national attention Rattay-Edwards garnered in 1998. Yes, part of that wish is selfish. I've already admitted that. But, I also think CH would have greatly helped his draft status. Just my opinion.

As it is, that train has left the station. So now, I wish CH all the best. I think he will make an NFL roster, and then, as others have mentioned, it will largely depend on his opportunities with a team. Will he be given a chance to prove himself?

** I would LOVE to see him end up with the Saints. Brees will make him an instant star!
